「代我去遊行」網傳港鐵車長廣播 鼓舞人心
16日下午，香港民眾再上街頭，大批本季限量優惠黑衫軍前往維多利亞公園，也擠爆了各大地鐵站，不過網路瘋傳一段錄音檔，列車長利用車廂廣播，說他們沒辦法罷工，希望大家代替他們去遊行，要香港人加油，瞬間引起民眾歡呼。
搭地鐵趕赴遊行，有民眾聽到這樣的廣播。
香港地鐵列車長：「麻煩各位代我去遊行。」
一陣歡呼後，還有這一句。
香港地鐵列車長：「堅持到底，香港人要加油。」
有網友說，當時搭乘港鐵，出發前往維多利亞公園，列車長利用車廂廣播出來的。
這段錄音，近日在香港網路廣為流傳，16日下午反惡法遊行再上路，大批黑衫軍擠滿香港各大地鐵站，當中香港地鐵，雖然有不少職員也反對修法，卻從事的工作不適合罷工，只能「聲援」，請大家代替他們上街抗議。
各大站擠滿人，甚至部分地鐵站乾脆過站不停，但為了爭這最後的民主防線，他們非上街頭不可。
參加遊行民眾：「是我們下一代跟年輕人的事，我們要為年輕人發聲，我們如果今天不發聲，明天就不能發聲，我們要跟香港政府說，我們不能接受，她昨天所說的一切說法。」
接近200萬人走上街頭，連日來的抗爭，港府態度終於趨緩，不能上街的民眾堅守崗位，也只能用自己的方法響應香港僅存的民主訴求。
華人優步司機讚進步 但計薪方式有缺陷
代表優步(Uber)司機的獨立司機工會(Independent Drivers Guild)和代表計程車司機的紐約計程車工人聯盟(New York Taxi Workers Alliance, NYTWA)均表示，TLC能夠開始為電召車司機設立最低工資，是司機抗爭的結果，也可說是一大進步，但其計算方式有缺陷，司機的財務狀況難有很大改善。
獨立司機工會華人司機召集人陳海靈表示，來參加聽證會的獨立司機工會司機共有200餘人，「其中華人司機就來了100人，法拉盛來了80人，布碌崙(布魯克林)來了20人，大家對TLC終於計畫設立最低工資感到非常感慨，因為這是所有司機一直以來的期待；華人司機最近幾個月表現非常突出，為自己爭取到了權益。」
不過陳海靈表示，TLC此項最低工資計畫的一些部分並不切合實際，「例如TLC的報告估計司機每月的租車費用僅為600元，但實際上司機平均每月的租車費用達到1600元；如果按照這些實際情況重新計算，目前計畫的最低工資仍然很難改變司機的財務狀況；我們今後會繼續發出聲音表達訴求，但TLC能夠計畫設立最低工資仍然是一大進步。」
此外，紐約計程車司機工會負責人狄賽(Bhairavi Desai)也表示支持TLC的最低工資計畫，但同樣指出TLC低估了很多司機的運營成本，而且其薪資計算方式得出的結果和優步給司機的薪資差別不大，「我們要求優步公司每單行程給司機付80%的車費，同時設立最低車費制度，讓司機每單得到的薪酬不少於10元」。
